We installed a 3.8kw solar PV system on our workshop roof. The pitcch of the roof is nearly flat but this doesnt reduce the output by much (5% to 10%) The sustem feeds into the mains and earns us FIT payment at the maximum rate. This ammounted to over 1500 pounds sterling last year. We try to maximise our use oof the solar electricity by using our washing machine, hoover and other hungry electrical devices in the middle of the day when we have the most solar electricity.
